Apparently, a gunman didn’t want to sully the name of his beloved Frankford when he decided to hold up a Torresdale 7-Eleven on Oct. 20. So he went outside, pulled a red hoodie over his “FKD” shirt and took care of business.
The bandit made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the store at 9001 Frankford Ave., police said, but not before leaving video of himself and his car on the store’s surveillance system.
The heist occurred at about 4 a.m. The unknown suspect was first seen in the store wearing a dark blue shirt with the familiar Frankford abbreviation in gold capital letters emblazoned across the chest. He also wore black pants and black shoes. The video showed him arriving at the store in a red car and walking inside. After a few moments, he exited the store and turned eastbound on Tolbut Street.
Minutes later, he walked back to the store wearing a red hoodie and a cloth over his face. His other clothing was the same. He pointed a handgun at a clerk, demanded money and was last seen fleeing east on Tolbut, police said.
